CIVIC. CENTRE. I, II & III, 2016

CIVIC. CENTRE. I, II, III examines a four-block area on the eastern edge of Calgary’s downtown core, from the Municipal Building to the northern edge of the YWCA. Positioned between the city’s financial centre and the East Village, this zone is defined by layered public, semi-public and private spaces. The work engages with an urban landscape shaped by job loss, poverty, gentrification, displacement and redevelopment.
