Moritzplatz (Licht, Luft und Sonne / Light, Air and Sun), 2017

Taking Moritzplatz as its starting point, this work maps the visible and less visible forces shaping the area. It traces historical events such as the devastation caused by Second World War bombing and the enduring scars of the Berlin Wall, alongside proposed urban planning projects including the planned 1960s highway A106, with an interchange at Oranienplatz.

The work also examines ideological frameworks embedded in both historical and contemporary language, and addresses more recent pressures, including rapidly rising real estate prices and the impact of short-term rentals such as Airbnb.
